SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- A Marywood University professor is in trouble with the law. He's accused of giving alcohol to minors.
The Lackawanna County District Attorney's office says 48 year-old Dr. Mark Kandel was charged with giving alcohol to minors. Detectives say Kandel had a party at his Peckville home with at least a dozen minors earlier this month. Kandel is accused of giving beer and vodka to minors.
The D. A.'s office says they intercepted pictures of the party Kandel sent to a 17 year-old's cell phone.
He was a professor at both Marywood University and the University of Scranton. He is also married to WNEP anchor Marissa Burke.
