SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY - A union negotiator representing striking teachers at Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County described Saturday's negotiations as "progressive talks."

Rosemary Boland says negotiations lasted several hours Saturday and that contract talks were set to resume Sunday afternoon at 2:00.

The weekend bargaining talks between negotiators representing school districts and the union mark the first since CTC teachers hit the picket lines on Wednesday.

The main sticking point is salary. CTC teachers have been working without a contract since September 2008.

Some 700-students from 13 school districts are affected by the strike.
