Psychic Says Vision Saved Her From Burning Home

Psychic Says Vision Saved Her From Burning Home - Monday, February 2, 2009 at 9:06PM EST

NESCOPECK, LUZERNE COUNTY- A psychic says a vision saved her from a burning home Monday morning in lower Luzerne County. The blaze destroyed a double-block home in the 600-block of third street in Nescopeck around 10:00 A. M.
Eyewitness News talked with the psychic who lived in the home. She was one of two people inside who got out safely. And she says without her vision, she'd most likely be dead.

Bright orange flames and thick plumes of smoke poured out of a double block home in Nescopeck late Monday morning. Pyschic Shirlet Enama was sleeping inside at the time. She says a vision from her dead mother woke her up. My mother that died years ago, literally shook me and started screaming to get out of the house. She saved our lives. When I woke up the place was on fire. The flames were shooting out all around it," she said.

Neighbors watched in shock as flames completely destroyed the building. Neighbor Jennifer Sheets said, She was one of the best neighbors we've had. She's really friendly, always looking out for you."

More than two hours after the fire started, firefighters were still on scene fighting smoke and flames. Crews from Mifflin Township, Berwick and Nescopeck all responded.

One dog did not make it out of the blaze. Countless antiques from Enama's psychic business were also destroyed.

People in this community said she always opened her home to the community. Neighbor Kimberly Evernham said, It was gorgeous. They had antiques, everything she's collected, all types of stuff."

We wanted to make the house something beautiful for the town, so everyone could come in and see it," said Enama.

Her son lived on the other side of the home. He was not home at the time.

The psychic who lives in the home says insurance should cover the damage and she hopes to rebuild. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
