Raceway Infield Party is Going Strong - Friday, June 4, 2010 at 04:06AM EST

LONG POND, MONROE COUNTY - It seems the infield party never stops. Eyewitness News found a man walking around with a miniature keg at eleven a. m. Jesse Rolland of Canada said it was full of, "A little OJ and a lot of vodka."

Another man carried a three foot tall Bahama Mama. He smiled, " Go big or go home."

Some even go big with their beer can recycling. Damion Bonn made a wind chime out of his. Heexplained, "I bought a 12 pack and drank it all then hung it up and put it on a log."

One group put up flags to display their love for racing and cold brews. Ken Karmazin of New Jersey said beer is "An integral part, very important."

Rolland explained why. He said, "Well you know fast cars and drinking - you can't really do much of them on the road legally so you gotta find an alternative route to do it."

Of course the party doesn't all revolve around drinking. People play games like horse shoes and darts.

They also find unique ways to relax like rigging a couch on top of a pick up truck for a man's weekend. Karmazin said, "No chores. No honey dos. It's all about the guys."

So Nascar weekend isn't just about the race, it's also about taking a break to reconnect with family and friends.

If you plan to party, police want to remind you to be responsible. Don't drink and drive. They have roving DUI patrols and sobriety checkpoints set up throughout the area.
