EXETER, LUZERNE COUNTY- People in Luzerne County were racing beds to raise money for a good cause Saturday. Dozens of people took part in the second annual bed race, sponsored by the Wyoming Area Kiwanis Club.
Organizers were raising money to build a special children's park for kids with disabilities. It will be dedicated in honor of McKenna Granahan. Chris Granahan, McKenna's mother, said, “I want to thank them. This is amazing. All it came was an idea, I talked to the president Megan, and poof, they went to the Exeter Council meetings, they did everything. It’s been amazing."
The park is expected to cost about $95,000.
