SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- Rail fans are converging on Scranton in droves this Labor Day weekend as Lackawanna Railfest 2008 is underway.
The Steamtown National Historic Site is spending this weekend showing visitors amazing technological and environmental advances in the industry over the last 10-years.
And the 33rd annual La Festa Italiana kicked off Saturday as well. This event is billed as Northeastern Pennsylvania's largest celebration of Italian culture and cuisine.
The event runs through Labor Day in Scranton's Courthouse Square. There are reports that Vice Presidential candidate Joe Biden will make an appearance there on Monday. | | |
