Muncy, Lycoming County-

A Hughesville man faced rape and assault charges in court Thursday.

Police say 39-year-old Ulysses Hoffman raped a teenage girl in his home on two occasions in July and August of this year.

According to investigators, Hoffman drank alcohol and smoked marijuana with the girl before the attacks.

Hoffman waived his preliminary hearing Thursday morning. He will be back in court next month.
