SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- A confessed rapist will now spend between 43 and 86 years behind bars.

Charles Lake was sentenced Tuesday morning.

Lake and the victim's family addressed the judge in court.

Lake pleaded guilty to a violent rape in May, when he tied up his victim and held her at knife-point for hours.

Lake then went on the run, living in a cave for nearly a month.

In court, Lake apologized for the crime and took full responsibility.

The victim's family says they're satisfied with the ruling.

The Victim's Aunt, Roseann Zubrickas, said, "I'm satisfied up till now. The day they zip him up in a body bag and he goes to hell, will be the day justice is really done."

Lake's attorney says he will look at the evidence in the case to consider an appeal.
