People in Wyoming County are sounding off after a guilty verdict in a triple murder case.

Late Wednesday night, a jury found Steven Colgrove guilty of murdering his mother, father and brother.

Eyewitness News was in Laceyville Thursday, where the family was well known.

People there sounded off about the verdict.

Bob Vogel of Laceyville says, "I think justice was served. He was found guilty by a jury of his peers. I personally hope he gets the death penalty."

Wednesday night he was found guilty of murdering his father Joe, mother Marlene, and brother Michael.

Anita Vogel of Laceyville says, "He's been judged by the court system, we have to believe in it. If such is the case death penalty to me would be appropriate."

The Colegroves were gunned down at their Tuscrarora Township home in august, 2007.

Prosecutors say Steven drove from his Deposit, New York home to gun down his family, then drove back.

Joe Colegrove owned a barber shop for years in Laceyville.

Bob Wind of Lovelton says, "He always put a sign up, he had a sign, went to lunch, went to grocery store. Somebody had put a sign up that said went to heaven. That always touched me."

It’s a dedication to Joe.

Cal Otten of Forkston says the jury got the verdict right.

"I certainly think that it's the right thing to get a guilty plea on somebody they got all the evidence I heard they had on him," says Otten.

Now this town will wait again.

Wind says, "I hope the jury's on target with it. Take care of business."

A jury will now decide if Steven Colegrove will get the death penalty.

The Bradford County jury that found Colegrove guilty is going to meet Friday morning.

After arguments by both the prosecution and defense, the jury will deliberate.

Colegrove will either get the death penalty or life in prison
