WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY -- A Protection From Abuse (P. F.A.) order has been filed against Senior Luzerne County Judge Joseph Rehkamp.

The P. F.A. was filed by his wife after Rehkamp was charged with choking her over the weekend. State police say the attack happened at Rehkamp's Plymouth Township home.

The P. F.A. prohibits Rehkamp from having any contact with his wife Valerie.

Meanwhile the state supreme court has removed Judge Rehkamp from all judicial duties pending the outcome of his criminal case.
