WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY -- A Luzerne County judge accused of attacking his wife may avoid jail time.

Judge Joseph Rehkamp agreed to enter a 6-month rehabilitation program. Rehkamp was arrested in January, accused of assaulting his wife.

Assault and harassment charges were re-filed against Rehkamp after his wife refused to testify.

The new charges will be dismissed if he completes the ARD program.
