WATSONTOWN, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY - People in one Northumberland County community are mourning the loss of their mayor.
Watsontown mayor Robert Brown died Friday after a five-year fight with cancer. Brown served as mayor for more than 20 years. He also served on borough council and was a grocery store owner.

Friends say Brown was a champion of the people and dedicated to both the fire company and police department.
