SCIOTA, MONROE COUNTY- New hope for a family in the Poconos.

After immigration officials took their loved one into custody last month.. saying she was here illegally.

Word Tuesday night that she could remain in this country.

Rukie Paptutchi, a mother of two faces deportation and separation from her family.. for what they call a government mix up.

Now.. her husband, Zack Paputchi has been granted legal status.

“Now we've proven I'm a permanent resident and she's eligible too. So I hope they consider that to let her come home.

Immigration officials did not return our call.

However the family lawyer says they could file for an advanced parole that could allow Rukie to return home even if she is deported.
