WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- Big red signs are hanging on doors, fences and windows of homes in the Rolling Mills Hills neighborhood of Wilkes-Barre.
The signs warn people about Kevin Konze - a convicted sexually violent predator. Neighbors on Mclean Street in Wilkes-Barre created the signs after they received a notice stating Konze would be moving into a home on their street.
Parents say it's unsettling because their street has a lot of children who play outside. Leah Zelinka, her husband Tom and their 4-children live next door to Konze.
"I understand that he needs to live somewhere but no where there are children all over. We have bus stops and there are kids in the home right by him. It's not a suitable place for him to live,” she argued.
Some of the signs have been ripped down, but neighbors say they will just put them right back up. | |
