Reward Offered for Cat Found Shot With Arrow

Reward Offered for Cat Found Shot With Arrow - Friday, May 29, 2009 at 11:05PM EST

PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY- A reward is being offered to find whoever shot a cat with an arrow.
A black cat was found in Shickshinny with an arrow right through its body. It barely missed its heart.

Veterarian Inayat Kathio did emergency surgery on the cat at the Pittston Animal Hospital. He's so upset over this incident of animal cruelty that he's offering a reward.

"This a very painful injury, a painful act. I would offer a $1,000 reward for whoever finds who has done this to this cat and be prosecuted. A $1,000 reward," he told Eyewitness News.

Dr. Kathio believes the cat does have an owner. He says if the owner comes forward to claim their pet no fees will be charged for his medical service.
