DELAWARE WATER GAP, MONROE COUNTY - When Doughboy's Pizza Shop owner Mehmet Barzev learned someone purposely lit a nearby business on fire he was shocked and saddened to learn a man who he knew for more than a decade was a victim of homicide.

The fire at the apartments connected to the Water Gap Diner killed Diner owner Rigas Ionnidis. He was 71. State Representative John Siptroth said "He treated everyone in the Gap very very nicely, very humanely."

Regas was well liked in this community. People who spoke with Eyewitness News said they don't think anyone would target him.

Many business owners said they're concerned that an arsonist is now on the loose. Barzev said, "My business is in this town too so I have to be aware of it."

They hope police catch the fire starter soon so they can begin to heal from the tragedy.
