Williamsport, Lycoming County-

A Central Pennsylvania charity is rising from the ashes after two devastating fires in just a few months.

The American Rescue Workers’ warehouse in Williamsport is once again accepting donations following an electrical fire last month.

It's an important development because roughly 80% of the Rescue Workers' income stems from fixing up and selling the donated items.

Co-Commanding Officer Sam Astin noted, "A lot of volunteer help, a lot of support from within with the employees, just a tremendous job by everybody to get us back up and running."

American Rescue Workers also operates a thrift store, men's shelter and more.

Reconstruction is still ongoing at their Ross Street church, which was struck by fire back in march. That blaze caused about a half-million dollars in damages.
