WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY -- Millions of federal dollars are being funneled toward three improvement projects in Lycoming County.

Congressman Chris Carney announced the $5.4 million in grants awarded to Williamsport's River Valley Transit Monday.

Nearly $1.5 million will go toward the upgrade of River Valley Transit's garage and office facility.

The other $4 million will be split between the expansion of the downtown Trade and Transit Centre, and the new transportation center set to be built on Church Street.
