SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- Some University of Scranton students woke up to the sounds of a police chase. It happened around 3 a-m after two men burst into the Convenient Food Mart on Prescott Avenue . Police say they are 42 year old Donald Hill of Scranton, and 48 year old Arnold Todd of Scranton. Police say both men led them on a chase than ran right through the middle of the University of Scranton . University of Scranton student Georgann Endres says, "I was just woken up by really loud sirens and I was just really scared."
Police say the robbery happened at about 3am . They say the Hill held a knife out and demanded cash. The suspected robbers took money, punched the clerk, and jumped in this car, but they didn't get far. Police chased them down, and the robbers smashed into Brennan Hall, on the University of Scranton campus. Student colleen Kenney is still in shock saying, "A little bit. It's hitting a little bit close to home. I know it was right outside."
Police rounded up the two men, one had a knife wound but its unclear how he was cut. That's why he was taken to the hospital. Now students are seeing a crime scene where they usually go to class. One of the student says, "I just saw them put up caution tape between where i live and where i go to class and that's frightening. There's always crime but this seems really different. Nothing like this was going on my freshman year and it's a little intimidating."
