A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for areas north of Interstate 80 until 8:00 this evening.
Thunderstorms will be scattered around the area this afternoon and evening. Some of the stronger storms can produce damaging winds and hail in addition to very heavy rain and frequent cloud to ground lightning.
