BARTONSVILLE, MONROE COUNTY - If you're trying to trim your budget, you might consider getting a trim at a Monroe County Salon. "It's cheap and I love it!" exclaimed Rosemari Hynes of Tobyhanna.

Haircuts at the Great Clips Salon in Bartonsville are just $2.99. Maggie Augugliaro of Stroud Township laughed, "I said, I gotta go! Sign me up!"

Salon Owner Apsara Hanagandi said, “A lot of people come in they say two ninety-nine? Is that really true?” It is really true. Hanagandi set up the deal to attract customers to her new business. She explained, “We wanted everybody to give us a chance to come up and try us out and just let them know that we are here.”

In this economy people have been lining up to take advantage of the deal. Some have to wait a little while but they say it’s worth it.

Hynes waited to get her cut because she can't spend much but needs a new look for job interviews. She explained, “Cause if you want a good job you gotta look nice and neat.”

Augugliaro agreed. She wants to look like a million bucks without paying big bucks. She said, “I have three kids so times are tough.”

The salon owner isn't making any money on the deal. But she hopes customers are blown away by her style and service so they come back when the cut rate price goes back to normal.

On October 14th prices will go up to $4.99 for a haircut. On November 1st they will go to the normal price of about $14.
