DANVILLE, MONTOUR COUNTY -- Employees at WBRE and WYOU teamed up with the one and only Santa Claus to bring a Merry Christmas to children living at the Gate House shelter in Danville.

Many of the children were surprised to see the man in the big red suit come inside, but all of them were excited to meet Santa, sit on his lap, and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.

"Is everybody being good?" Santa asked, to which all the kids yelled, 'yes.' He added," I hope so because Santa's got a bag full of gifts here."

"I saw Santa Claus. He's really, really cool," said Autumn, a 6-year-old. "I got high school musical pajamas."

"I got Hanna Montana pajama bottoms and a shirt that says 'star' on it," said Darrian, an 11-year-old girl. "I'm a big fan of hers."

Other Christmas wishes might take some time.

"I want a house and a dog," said Aidan, a 7-year-old boy. We told him a dog is a lot of work. He said, "Then, I want a puppy instead."

Santa reminded them to go to bed early.

"And be very, very good," said Santa. "Ho, ho, ho!"

If you'd like to send donations to the Gate House shelter, you can call 275-6766 for more information.
