COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP - A Pocono community is preparing to help a woman pay tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills. Diana Davis has had two kidney transplants. They both failed. Now she struggles through treatments while she waits for another.

John Davis brings Diana Davis to a dialysis clinic three times a week. Diana has some trouble getting out of the van and has lean on a walker to get around.

Diana is not John's Grandmother or even his mother. She's his daughter and she's 28-years-old.

Diana has had two kidney transplants. They first failed after six years. And the second stopped working a few months ago. "I have four kidneys and none of them work."

Just a few months ago Diana was taking dance classes and rock climbing. In November, her kidney transplant failed. She spent months in the hospital. She couldn't move. She couldn't speak.

"It was just ripping me out on the inside," said John.

Diana eventually woke up and now spends two days a week at therapy. "Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy," listed Diana.

She also spend three days a week at dialysis. She sits for hours while machines clean her blood.

"I've been through this twice before but you never get rid of being scared of what's going to happen next," she said.

It's also scary for John. For him, taking care of Diana is a full time job. "That's hard. That's hard," he said.

It's hard for the entire family but Diana says with their support she will get through this and one day soon, hopefully get back into the dance studio.

"That would be my dream. To see her do that again," remarked John.

There will be a breakfast fund raiser for Diana on Sunday at the Pocono Mountains Municipal Airport. It runs from eight in the morning until one in the afternoon.

There will be free plane rides for kids.
