YATESVILLE, LUZERNE COUNTY- The former Superintendent of the Pittston Area School District will plead guilty to accepting $5,000 cash in exchange for his help in steering a school district contract to a company.

Dr. Ross Scarantino was charged in April and resigned from his position. Today, the U. S Attorney confirmed that he will plead guilty to accepting a bribe. Scarantino could face 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

He is the 8th person nabbed in an ongoing corruption probe in Luzerne County.
