Northumberland County- In central Pennsylvania a school board vice-president is accused of bilking his employer out of tens of thousands of dollars.
State police say 55-year-old Steve Fairchild has been charged with theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception and unlawful use of a computer.
Fairchild is a past president, and current vice-president, of the Warrior Run Area School Board.
Police allege he stole nearly $40,000 while working as a manager at "Valley Ag and Turf" near Watsontown.
Fairchild and other school district officials have refused to comment on the charges. | |
