SCHUYLKILL COUNTY -

Police in Schuylkill County are searching for a convicted child rapist who's on the run.

Russell Rehrig, 51, was convicted earlier this week on several sex-related crimes including rape and indecent assault.

Rehrig was out on bail when he failed to show up for the last day of his trial.

State Police are now searching for Rehrig who is from the Allentown area.

He's five foot-eight inches tall and has brown hair and hazle eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call 9-1-1.
