Scranton Fire Investigation

Scranton Fire Investigation - Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 5:42PM EST

Thursday, Aug 28, 2008 @ 05:42pm EST

Three fires in less than 2 days, all in Scranton .

The fire department has had some busy nights, while neighbors are looking for answers.

At least one of the fires was intentionally set.

1308 West Locust Street in Scranton is gutted.

That’s because fire ripped through the condemned home Thursday morning.

It's one of two fires Scranton firefighters had to put out before sunrise.

Another home caught fire at 26 Throop Street .

Both fires are under investigation, and people living hope they're not connected.

One neighbor says, "We don't know who's doing this. And now it's about the time that the city cracks down and gets a lot more police officers here and help us."

The two fires less than one full day after flames ripped through this home on Gallagher Court .

That's in South Scranton .

Fire fighters say someone intentionally set this fire, but no arrests have been made.

Giny Richardson's mother lived here.

She says, "I don't know. I just hope that if somebody's out there that they catch him pretty quick. I mean a garage is one thing but when you have a home that someone's living in, that's pretty scary."

Until then, workers are outside the house sizing up what's left, to hopefully rebuild.
