LACKWANNA COUNTY - Hundreds of people in Scranton greeted the new year with fire works.

It was the final act of Scrantonir First Night.

It was the 11th year for the annual celebration in the Electric City.

There were nearly 30 acts that took the stage as people waited for the stroke of midnight.

One of the acts was Rob Smith.

He was juggling lit torches at the fire house.

He said some people think he's a little nuts, "People call me crazy...but not while I'm juggling the fire. They ussually wait till I'm done, but yeah you might say that."

Scranton First Night also featured music and other performers.

This was the first year the event was hosted by the city and not Scranton Tomorrow.
