SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY - One person was hurt after a shooting Sunday night in Lackawanna County.

The gunfire rang out just before 9:30 PM in Scranton. WYOU News was on scene shortly after it happened at an apartment building in the 700-block of North Main Avenue.

Police say two people forced their way inside a building and one person was shot in the buttocks. The name of the victim has not been released, but the person was taken to Scranton's Community Medical Center.

Investigators say after the shooting, several people who were inside the apartment building went to the nearby Turkey Hill. That's where investigators were questioning suspects and looking at surveillance video.

As of late Sunday night, no one had been formally charged in connection with the Scranton shooting.
