PLAINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY -- Erin Kelly Ruddy, a 21-year-old from Scranton, is dead after an early morning crash on Interstate 81.

Ruddy was traveling northbound from the on-ramp just past mile marker 170 when she lost control of her vehicle, rolling over several times before coming to a rest and catching fire. Ruddy was ejected from the car during the accident and was struck several times by oncoming traffic. She died at the scene.
