TUNKHANNOCK TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY -- The search for two mentally challenged teenagers has been called off, but the teens are still considered missing.

The two Pocono teens, Charlie Lockard and Donnie Kiernan, were last seen late Friday afternoon in the Indian Lakes Development, which borders Monroe and Carbon Counties.

"It's too cold out there, Charlie," said his dad, Ronnie Lockard. "If you can see this, please, daddy loves you so much, and I need you to come home."

Ronnie last saw his son Friday when he dropped him off at his grandmother's house in the Indian Lakes Development.

"I want him back home, because I really miss him," said Charlie's brother, 17-year-old "Butchie." "I look out for him because of the way he is."

Lockard and Kiernan, 18 and 19 years old respectively, are mentally challenged and comprehend at the 6th grade level.

"The families are very upset," said Mike Wasson, Chief of the Penn Forest #2 Fire Department. "With the cold weather we've had the last couple nights, they're wearing summer clothing. They're very concerned."

Search crews went door-to-door over the weekend to the 2,000 plus homes in the development, including some seasonal ones that aren't lived in right now. Authorities hope the teens have gotten into one and are safe. They want the two to know they're not in any trouble.

"We'd be happy if they entered a dwelling they're not supposed to be in, just to stay out of the elements," said Mark Nalesnik, Director of the Carbon County Emergency Agency.

Authorities say they used all resources possible, including K-9 units. Some are scouring the land. Others were taken out on boats.

"Give us a hand," said Roger Tobias, Search & Rescue Coordinator for Carbon County. He's asking people living nearby to help search. "We need it. Search their backyards, sheds, under their porches, dumpsters - anything where somebody could seek shelter."

They ask Charlie and Donna, if their somehow watching, to come home.

"It's okay, that if he sees security or whatever, to approach them," said Ronnie. "Because I know he's got to be cold. And I love him and I miss him, and I want him to come home."

Charlie Lockard is about 5'7" and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black AC/DC t-shirt, and a green and white hoodie. Donna Kiernan is about 4'11" and 135 pounds. She was last wearing blue jeans, a "West Coast Choppers" gray hoodie, and black and pink sneakers. If you see them, call 9-1-1.
