Second Arrest in Monroe Co. Murder Case

Second Arrest in Monroe Co. Murder Case - Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 6:54PM EST

STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY- A second person is under arrest in connection with a local murder. U. S. Marshals assisted Stroud Area Regional Police in making the murder arrest on Long Island.
It’s been more than two months since the body of Blake Natal was found in the parking lot of the Quality Inn on Main Street in Stroudsburg. Prosecutors say the 22-year-old Tobyhanna man was beaten and robbed.

Friday night, 150 miles away from the crime scene, U. S. Marshals say they took Myles White into custody without resistance at a home in Moriches, New York. That's on Long Island.

Prosecutors say White was one of at least two people who got into a fight with Natal the night he was murdered.

The other person facing charges in connection with Natal's death is Ralph Maldonado. He was taken into custody on March 11th.

At the time of the first arrest police speculated on a motive. “We do believe that it was a random robbery attempt that went bad," said Stroud Regional Lieutenant Brian Kimmins.

Two women are also facing charges in connection with Natal's death. Maldonado's mother Sonia and girlfriend Venus Linan are accused of using Natal's stolen credit card to buy baby products and a television. They have already faced a judge and their cases are going to trial.

White was processed and charged as a fugitive from justice. He is in custody pending his arraignment and transfer.
