LYCOMING COUNTY-The Lycoming County Housing Authority says it doesn't want to give people false hope about section 8 housing. So many people are now on the waiting list for the federally-funded program that the agency is no longer adding names to it. The applications may be closed for up to 12 months. However- only section 8 is affected.

You can still apply for low-cost public and private housing units.
