TOBYHANNA, MONROE COUNTY- State Senator Jeffrey Piccola toured the Pocono Mountain Charter School Thursday to spend some time with the students there.
Piccola is chair of the State Senate Education Committee. He is a strong proponent of charter schools. He toured the school because he is working on new legislation that could impact how school districts deal with charter schools.
The school is currently in a legal battle with the Pocono Mountain School District about whether or not it can keep its charter. The senator did not comment on that situation. | | |
