Lewisburg, Union County-
Patients will soon have to find new providers for some services currently provided by Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg.
Hospital officials have announced they will phase out their home health care and retail pharmacy programs over the next six to 12 months.
We’re told the programs are being discontinued because they are under-utilized.
Hospital officials are working to transition affected employees to new areas or different healthcare providers.
Evangelical’s Assistant Director of Public Relations Angela Brouse noted, “We’re going to help patients. We’re going to help families who need to transition to another pharmacy, who need to transition to another agency. We’re here to help them. We’re here to answer questions.”
And while some programs are being cut, hospital officials say they will soon be renovating their surgical operating suites and expanding their cardiovascular services. | | |
