Sestak & Toomey Campaigns Already Underway 0/ 5 rating AVOCA, LUZERNE COUNTY -- Now that Primary Election 2010 is in the books, let the campaigning begin for November. It's already started for the race for U. S. Senate.

The dust didn't even settle on last night's election results and Wednesday the Republican candidate for U. S. Senate Pat Toomey flew into town. He held a rally near the airport in Avoca and wasted no time in going after his opponent, Joe Sestak.

When government spending is out of control, whether its in Harrisburg or Washington, its got to be stopped and we're gonna stop it," said Toomey.

Hell face Congressman Joe Sestak in November. Wednesday morning Sestak was in Philadelphia at a train station thanking voters for helping him defeat 30-year veteran Arlen Specter.

Tuesday night at his victory party in Valley Forge, Sestak promised to bring new leadership.

At his stop in Luzerne County Wednesday, Toomey highlighted the differences between his campaign and that of Joe Sestak. Toomey says he's for limited government, personal responsibility and no serial bailouts.

He says Sestak wanted to spend more money on the recent bailout and that will set this race apart in November. The choice will be as clear as it could be in fact, it will be the clearest choice anywhere in America this election," said Toomey.

Even though its six months until Election Day comes around again its going to be interesting to see how this race plays out.

Sestak should have the advantage in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, but Toomey may get a boost in Central Pennsylvania, where he has roots.
