MAYFIELD, LACKAWANNA COUNTY - Plans to build an ethanol plant in Lackawanna County's up-valley have hit a roadblock.

The Mayfield borough council voted six-to-one Wednesday night to change zoning plans where the plant would have been built. The issue involves a 38-acre plot of land. It was originally zoned industrial, but last night, was changed back to residential.

The company that wants to build the ethanol plant says they will most likely appeal the vote.
