ROCKPORT, CARBON COUNTY- Several people had to be rescued from the Lehigh Gorge. It happened about one mile north of Rockport.

Carbon County 9-1-1 tells Eyewitness News that rescuers were called just before 8:00 Sunday evening.

L&L Auxiliary of Weatherly helped pull 4-people from the water. Only one was injured. That person was taken to the hospital for treatment.

There's no word on the extent of injuries or what the four people were doing in the gorge.
