A water main break is causing a road to buckle in Dickson City. It’s happening along Business Route 6, the Scranton/Carbondale Highway, near the Viewmont Mall. There no reports of major water outages.
Another water main break in Scranton closed West Linden Street between St. Francis Cabrini Avenue and 9th Streets. The broken main was discovered around 3:00 Monday morning and caused serious delays during the morning rush.
And some residents in Schuylkill County need to boil water before drinking it. It’s a precautionary boil advisory for customers in the Borough of Tamaqua and portions of Schuylkill, Walker and West Penn Townships. The advisory will remain in effect until further notice. About 200 customers in the Dutch Hill area are without water at this hour. It's not known how long it'll take to fix a broken valve on the transmission line.
