A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for areas east of I-81 until 11:00 P. M. The area is outline in orange in the map below.

Strong to severe thunderstorms will move through parts of the area this evening. Storms could produce damaging winds and hail in addition to very heavy rain.

Also, a Flash Flood Watch is in effect for the southern Poconos, Lehigh Valley and Schuylkill County. It includes the counties in green below.
