SHAMOKIN TWP., NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY -- A Northumberland County couple is totaling up the losses after a garage fire.

This is all that's left of the structure after the fire broke out just after 5:00 A. M.

A neighbor called it in after hearing several explosions next door in the 200-block of Badmans Hill Road. He woke up the homeowners, Margaret and Elwood Swank, by pounding on their door.

The couple's house was spared but the garage, two vehicles and pool supplies and equipment were destroyed.
