SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- A MonroeCounty man who pleaded guilty to shooting his friend will spend at least half ayear behind bars.

22-year old Robert Belmonteof Blakeslee was sentenced to between six months and two years behind bars for shootingElvin Padilla. The shooting happened in a Denny's parking lot last July in Dickson City. Police said Pedillalunged at Belmonte with a screwdriver and that's when Belmonte shot his friendin the chest.

Investigators said the twomen were arguing over a woman.
