KULPMONT, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY - The borough's skate park may be dismantled as early as next week because of ongoing vandalism to it and the surrounding recreation complex.

Borough council was considering closing the park at its monthly meeting Tuesday night. Less than two hours after the meeting was over another incident of vandalism occurred.

Wednesday morning the new vandalism was revealed. A fence was cut to enter the park, and the baseball field signs were propped on a picnic table to make a skate ramp.

Action on the elimination of the skate park is expected at a special meeting of borough council on Thursday, August 21.
