MIDDLECREEK TWP., SNYDER COUNTY -- Snyder County's Midd-West School District is in mourning this weekend after a crash that killed two students and injured three others.

Flowers now mark the crash scene in Middlecreek Township along Sale Barn Road. A speeding mini-van slammed into a utility pole Friday afternoon and rolled into a farm field.

14-year-old Kylie Hummel and 16-year-old Jacob Kemble were thrown from the wreckage and killed.

Two other students remain in the hospital while a third survivor was treated and released.

Midd-West school officials were to meet Saturday to map out grief counseling plans.
