Middleburg, Snyder County-
Residents in Snyder County are being encouraged to take part in a new prescription drug discount program.
County commissioners say residents need only pick up a discount card to take advantage of the savings.
The free cards can be used at virtually any pharmacy in the county.
The county also gets a small percentage of the marketing fee for the cards.
Snyder County Commissioner Joe Kantz noted, "We know these are tough times. If our residents can save five dollars on a prescription, that's five dollars they can spend on groceries."
We're told about 150 prescriptions are currently being filled using the cards each week.
They're available at various locations- including government buildings- throughout Snyder County. | | |
