Soldiers Honored in Schuylkill County
Soldiers Honored in Schuylkill County - Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 9:44PM EST
HOMETOWN, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY- Dozens of Pennsylvania Patriots from Schuylkill County were honored for their time served overseas Saturday.
These troops just returned home from Afghanistan. And members of the Lansford American Legion Riders organized a dinner for them at the Hometown Armory.
They presented the soldiers with American flags, commemorative coins and lapel pins for their family members. Mst. Sgt. George Holmes said, “Well, we have a job to do and do what we have to do.... get the job done.”
About 40 soldiers and their families were honored at this celebration in Hometown. | | |
