SELINSGROVE, SNYDER COUNTY -- A Snyder County man is jailed after a stabbing led to a police standoff.

It started Friday night around 10:00 at a Selinsgrove home on East Bough Street.

Police say 27-year-old Edwin Estien, Jr. forced his way into his ex-girlfriend's home, grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed a man in the leg.

Estien fled to his West Snyder Street apartment and wouldn't come out. Hostage negotiators backed by a SWAT team talked Estien into surrendering around 12:30 this morning.

He's locked up on $100,000 bail. Police are not releasing the victim's name who survived the stabbing.
