MAHONING TWP, CARBON COUNTY- A man faces charges after a seven hour Lehighton area armed standoff with police. We were on the scene in Mahoning Township during the standoff at an apartment building off Route 443. It started with a domestic dispute call Tuesday night around 7 o'clock . The woman inside was able to get out but the man there had multiple guns. He said he wouldn't be taken alive. Police and a state police SERT team responded and eventually the man surrendered. Authorities sent him for psychological evaluation before they said they'd file charges.
