LAPLUME, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- Police are looking for a man wanted for assaulting several people with a baseball bat Monday evening.

Authorities were called to Tall Timers Trailer Park in LaPlume just after 9:00 P. M. They say a man assaulted several people with a baseball bat. An unknown number were taken to the hospital.

At some point the man with the bat ruptured a gas line and attempted to light it on fire. He then fled into nearby woods where he's allegedly been attempting to light brush fires.

Police say the man they are looking for is a white male, 5'9" tall weighing 200 pounds. He has grayish brown hair and a beard and moustache.

More than two dozen troopers from the Tunkhannock and Dunmore barracks are looking for the man.
