SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- Some people in need can rest a lot warmer tonight. A truck load of blankets were dropped off at the St. Francis of Assisi soup kitchen in Scranton today.

This is the second straight year State Representative Ken Smith collected blankets. They were donated by people in the 112th district.

The blankets are being distributed to the less fortunate members of the community to help them stay warm during the winter months.
